It's important to first double-check the submission type that you have selected for the assignment in question. Unless you select "online submission", students will not see a "submit" button.
A browser issue is the most likely cause of this error. Google's Chrome is the recommended browser for Canvas, so a good first step is to ensure your students are using Canvas in Chrome.
Though Chrome automatically updates & enables Adobe Flash Player, it is wise to double-check that Flash is enabled.
If users are in Chrome with Flash enabled and the issue persists, we recommend deleting the browser's cookies, clearing cache and trying again.
