It's important to note that instructors have the ability to create Canvas assignments and identify "no submission" for that assignment. If "no submission" is identified, students will not see a submit button. You are encouraged to first check with your instructor to make sure that s/he has enabled "online submission" for the specific assignment.

A browser issue is the most likely cause of this error. Google's Chrome is the recommended browser for Canvas, so a good first step is to be sure to use Canvas in Chrome.

Though Chrome automatically updates & enables Adobe Flash Player, it is wise to double-check that Flash is enabled.

If you are in Chrome with Flash enabled and the issue persists, we recommend deleting the browser's cookies, clearing cache and trying again.
