As an alternative to asking a student to resubmit the assignment, instructors have the ability to manually (re)submit an assignment to TurnItIn. Faculty can follow these steps to (re)submit an assignment:

  1. Navigate to www.turnitin.com
  2. Click on the "log in" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen
  3. Enter your Longwood University email address and select "reset password"
  4. Follow the directions in the email you receive from TurnItIn to reset your password and log in
  5. Select the class associated with the assignment
  6. Select "submit" from the "more actions" drop-down menu all the way to the right of the specific assignment
  7. Follow prompts on screen to upload the assignment
  8. Once you see your digital receipt appear on the screen, select the blue "go to assignments inbox" button at the bottom of your receipt
  9. To actually view the assignment with the originality report, click on the assignment's title and select "originality" from the top left-hand corner
